Juliet-Class （Project 651）

By Narvikhr

The Soviets' first attempt at a ranged commerce raider‚ Juliet-class diesel-electric guided missile submarines proved to be among the first of its class in the Red Fleets․ Packed with four cruise missiles into a hull shorter than the 90 meter Foxtrot‚ the vessel was widened to account for missile storage‚ which would cause poor handling and performance against other submarines despite its armament․ Much like Golf-class subs‚ Juliets had to be launched with escorts in order to raid their intended targets of convoys deep in the Atlantic‚ at a slow speed of 15 knots․ Handles and moves like a brick‚ goes up like a firework if hit just right․ Shouldn't be a problem․ - Narvikhr
